BMS English name Battery Management System, Chinese name battery management system, including system monitoring and management of the battery, the voltage and current, temperature and SOC parameter collection and calculation, and then control the battery charge and discharge process, to achieve the protection of the battery management system, improve the comprehensive performance of the battery, is an important link of vehicle battery and electric vehicle.



1, parameter detection


The charge and discharge state of the battery is collected in real time. The data collected are the total battery voltage, the total current of the battery, the temperature of the measuring point per package of the battery, and the cell voltage of the single module.


2, residual energy (SOC) estimation


The residual energy of the battery is equivalent to the oil of the traditional car. In order to let the driver understand SOC in time, the system should collect the parameters such as charge discharge current, voltage and so on, and estimate the SOC through the corresponding algorithm.


3, charge and discharge control


The charge and discharge of the battery is controlled according to the charge state of the battery. If a parameter exceeds the standard, such as the single cell voltage is too high or too low, in order to ensure the normal use and performance of the battery pack, the system will cut off the relay and stop the battery energy supply.


4. Heat management


The temperature of each cell measured in each package is collected in real time, and the temperature of the battery is prevented by the control of the fan.


5. Equilibrium control


Because of the differences in the individual battery and the different use state, the inconsistency of the battery is becoming more and more serious in the process of use. The system should be able to judge and automatically balance the system.
