Li-ion batteries, LiNiCoMnO2 (Ternary) or LiFePo4 Batteries?

When Terras , using Panasonic ternary lithium batteries, created a magic tale to navigate exceed 400miles, Chinese factories are crazy with ternary lithium batteries research and developing and manufacturing.

 

Which one is better? Let me answer you in technical parameters as below:

 

LiFePo4, has good advantages in cycle life and high temperature performance, but poor performed in low temperature and especially in volume size and weight.

LiNiCoMnO2, has good performance in energy density, size and weight, but cycle life is less than LiFePo4. Price is much cheaper the LiFePo4 also.

 

So my result is suggest to choose the best quality and price ratio according to your application intend use, and affordability.
